Field orientation
Know the route. Read the terrain.
White Rock offers several ways to experience the high Ozarks. The easy 1.8-mile rim trail circles the mountain for broad views, while the longer White Rock–Shores Lake route descends through hardwood forest, creek crossings, seasonal waterfalls, and bluff country before climbing back toward the ridge.
Choose the route that matches your group. Waterfalls and creek crossings are most active after rain.
Closures, permits, weather, water, access, and regulations can change. Use the official land-manager source before every trip.
